Featherheart sat in the clearing eating her fresh kill. She was always ignored no one seemed to listen to her except for her sister. She sighed. Then got up and went to the Warriors den to rest even though she didnt do anything the whole day.

Jayfoot was curled in his nest next to Featherheart's. When she walked in, Jayfoot woke up rolled on his back, and stretched his front paws. "Do you want to go for a hunt?" he asked Featherheart hoping she would say yes.

Featherheart was starled! Every hair on her pelt rose up. She jumped back. "Dont scare me like that Jayfoot!" She said with laughter in her voice. She started licking her fur down. "Now, what were you saying?" She asked.

Jayfoot purred with amusement. "I'm sorry, I won't do that again, I was wondering if you wanted to go hunting with me?" Jayfoot asked again still hoping she would say yes.

Featherheart went outside the camp hoping Jayfoot would follow he was being so slow. What was taking him? It wasnt like it was a date or anything...
She caught site of a mouse then went into a crouch position krept very slowly then pounced! She killed it with a single bite then quickly returned it to the fresh kill pile. She stood there waiting for Jayfoot. Where had he gone?

Jayfoot found Featherheart in front of the den waiting. "Let's go." he replied to her. He saw a rabbit and tore after it.

Featherheart took the mouse and buried it quickly to pick up later. She darted after Jayfoot hoping he wouldnt go so far that she would lose track of him. She hated being in the forest at night all alone. She spotted a finch on a tree branch just staring at her. Why isnt it flying away? She pondered. She faked a jump, it still didnt move just tilted its head to one side like she was stupid. Featherheart then hissed at it. The finch only cleaned its feathers. She then jumped to hit the branch with her paw, but missed entirely making a big thud on the ground. She then looked up, the finch was staring at her like it was mocking her!! It chirped and flew away dropping poo on her head. "Eww Fox dung!" She shouted frusterated.

Jayfoot caught and killed the rabbit, and then stopped and watched Featherheart and the finch. Purring he came down the hill to help her. "We're supposed to hunt them not be taget practice for them! Here, let me help." Jayfoot said playfully as he helped clean her pelt.

~Hey I thought It was funny...so what if it was random it made a good rp  ~ Featherheart looked at him. "Ok" She simply replied. She took down towards the stream to wash off. It was freezing. Quickyl she tried rubbing her paw across her head then dipped her paw in the stream repeating that step over and over. She thought about the finch. That was something she would never forget. |

~I thought it was funny too, and Jayfoot got to make a pass at Featherheart.~
Jayfoot's whiskers were twitching, he hoped Featherheart wouldn't notice he was laughing on the inside at her. "Please," he said laughing so hard he could barely speak, "Let me help you, you're just spreading it all over you!" he laughed, taking a feather from a bird he had caught earilier and dipped it in the water and smoothing it over her coat. "There that's better." He said repeating the process over and over until her fur was clean.

Featherheart felt utterly embarrassed. "Thanks" She mewed shyly. She made sure she didnt make a move so he could get it off then when she noticed it wasnt working from the looks of her relection she dived head first into the water. Then rolled around rubbing against rocks. The cold surface on the rocks made her so cold! Then she got up, soaking, hoping it worked. ~How bout it does  ~ |

Jayfoot watched her chase the squirrel across the moorland. She was so beautiful. I'm going to catch that finch for her. He thought, spotting it again. He jumped to the tree and balenced on the branch. One paw strike and a neck bite later, he was down the tree, proudly holding the finch between his jaws. "Featherheart, look what fox dung I found!" He called to her.

Featherheart turned around with the squirrel in her jaws. Then she dropped it and burst out laughing. "You caught it? Wow then you deserve it..." She said with amusment in her voice. She loved the way Jayfoot tried to cheer her up. Did he love her? Well of coarse not! He just was being nice. "That beats the squirrel I caught the squirrel is as big as a baby mouse!" She said.

"No, after all that bird put you through, you deserve it." Jayfoot said putting it down next to her. Does she know I love her? Jayfoot wondered to himself. "That's okay, we all have bad hunting days sometimes." Jayfoot said charmingly.
~Jayfoot's my favorite character of mine, even though Runningtail was my first. I just love how nice he is!~

Featherheart picked it up. "Come on lets bury (yes I dont feel like spelling today) our prey and keep hunting. We're doing great so far a finch and a squirrel! Am I forgetting something?" She said with excitment. She scampered off into the bushes then poked her head out. "Well you coming or not?" She asked playfully.

~KK, I was thinking like, we could do something in the next RP like what they did in the books with Crowfeather and Leafpool, would that be okay?~
"I have some sort of feeling like we did forget something...but oh well. It probably wasn't a huge thing." Jayfoot said brushing his feeling aside. Featherheart's mew brought him out of his thoughts. "Yes, I'm right behind you!" he exclaimed and ran after her.
